The world famous Valley of Flowers is situated in the upper expansions of Bhyundar Ganga in the far interior of Garhwal Himalayas. The valley is spread over an area of 87.5 Sq. Kms. And is 3,250 mt to 6,750 mt. Above the mean sea level.


The bloom starts immediately after the melting of snow but the peak blooming period is from mid July to mid of August. Almost 300 species of wild flowers bloom here in natural way. Wherein some of the species are Anemone, Geranium, Marsh Marigold, Prinula, Potentilla, Geum, Asters, Lilium, Ranunculus, Corydalis, Inula, Braham kamal, Campanula, Pedicularis, Arisaema, Morina, Impatiens, Bistorta, Ligularia, Anaphalis, Saxifrages, Sibbaldia, Thermopsis, Trollius, Codonopsis, Dactylorhiza, Cypripedium, Strawberry, Epilobium, Rhododendrons and numerous others. Most of the flowers have medicinal values too. The abundance of Asmanda fern in this valley is a rare sight than in other Himalayan valleys. The valley remains is bloom for three months while the loral composition keeps on changing every few days. By September the hue starts changing and autumn bids farewell to flowers and the entire vegetation remains dormant for about next five months when the valley is snow bound.

Apart from the flowers some species of Butterfly, Musk deer, Blue sheep (Bharal), Himalayan bear, Himalayan mouse hare and some Himalayan birds & Snow leopard are also found in this area. Due to these specialities it has always caught the attention of the nature lovers as well as the environmentalists.

Day 1: Delhi:  On arrival in Delhi, meet and assist transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Delhi

Day 02: Delhi – Haridwar: After breakfast proceed for Haridwar by road (214 kms / 5 hrs).  Upon arrival at Haridwar, check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own. Evening Ganga Arti at Har Ki Pauri.  Dinner & Overnight at Haridwar.

Day 03: Haridwar-Joshimath: After breakfast, drive to Joshimath. On arrival check into your camp. Rest of the day at leisure. Over night at The Camp Joshimath.

Day 04: Joshimath - Govindghat – Ghangaria: Early morning drive from Joshimath for Govindghat, which is the starting point for the trek. From Govindghat there is a gradual climb the trek of 14 Kms to Ghangaria the base from where day walks can be made into the valley of flowers. Overnight at The Camp Ghangaria.

Day 05: Ghangaria – Valley Of Flowers – Ghangaria: After breakfast 4 km trek to The Valley Of Flowers from Ghangaria. This place is a feast for the eyes. After the visit again 4 km trek back to Ghangaria. Over night at The Camp Ghangaria.

Day 06: Ghangaria - Govindghat – Joshimath: After breakfast leave for Govindghat on the trek of 14 kms to reach Govindghat by afternoon and then drive for Joshimath. On arrival check in Joshimath camp.  Overnight at The Camp Joshimath.

Day 07: Joshimath –Haridwar: After breakfast, we proceed to Haridwar (274 kms/ 9-10 hrs).  On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner & Overnight at Haridwar.

Day 08: Haridwar- Delhi: After a leisurely breakfast you will be transferred to New Delhi (214 kms / 5 hrs) for your onwards journey.
